Management and Technical Assistance Services....

Educates and acquaints minority owned businesses and companies with the principles of management, analysis, recordkeeping, financial management and marketing. Through one-on-one counseling, business plans and market research assistance is provided for start-up companies and expansion projects. Financial consulting is also provided to help ascertain private sector funding sources to help with loan package review.

Contract Procurement....

Maintains ongoing communications with regard to contracting opportunities with local, state and federal agencies, universities, and private sector purchasing managers. As bid opportunities are available, the program notifies qualified minority vendors by using the MBE Certification Program. The Contract Procurement Office can also assist with local, state, federal and private sector certification.

Contract Compliance....

Is responsible for assisting the Dept. of Development in its efforts to comply with the laws of the State of Ohio that govern purchasing programs. (Amended II.R. 584) The contract compliance officer works with the department's purchasing agents to assure that goods and services are purchased from Ohio minority vendors.
